SUMMARY:Walk for Wellness and 5K Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:May 16\, 2026\nHealth fair begins @ 8:00 a.m.\n5k Fun Run begins @ 8:30 a.m.\nWalk for Wellness begins @ 9:30 a.m.\nLocation: Rt. 66 Park at Lake Overholser; 9901 NW 23rd St\, Yukon\, OK 73099\nJoin us for a Walk for Wellness and 5K Fun Run through Rt. 66 Park at Lake Overholser. Registered runners will receive a T-shirt and medal\, and registered walkers will receive a T-shirt. These events are open to patients and non-patients\, with the walk and health fair at no cost and the 5K Fun Run includes a small fee. Everyone will have the opportunity to receive information from community partners in the Oklahoma City metro and participate in a health fair and cultural activities. One of our event objectives is to educate our participants on developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We provide water at the event to encourage participants to remain hydrated and promote healthy beverages\, as well as a healthy snack to promote healthy eating after working out. \nThe walk\, health fair and cultural activities are at no cost. Register by April 24\, 2026\, to receive a FREE T-shirt. Same-day registrations for either the walk for 5K Fun Run are not guaranteed a T-shirt. You must sign up 30 minutes before the start of either the walk or the 5K Fun Run to get credit for participation. The 5K Fun Run fee is $30 (plus processing fee)\, which includes a medal and T-shirt. \nGet SET participants can earn an extra TWO POINTS towards Get SET by registering and attending the Walk for Wellness and 5K Fun Run. You will sign in with your code name at the BRAID/STAR booth during the health fair portion of the event. \nCalling all artists!\nParticipate in a design competition where the winning design will get their image on all Walk for Wellness T-shirts given to participants.
