Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma

Bp. David Wilson serves as a board member and is Chairperson for the Governance Committee at Oklahoma City Indian Clinic. He is currently serving as the Conference Superintendent of The Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference of The United Methodist Church. The conference includes 87 Indian Methodist churches in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas. He is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church and has served pastorates in Norman, OKC and Tahlequah, Oklahoma. 

A native of Okay, Oklahoma, Rev. Wilson graduated from Oklahoma City University with a degree in Mass Communication. He also received his Masters in Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa where he graduated with honors. He also was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Bacone College. Wilson also sits on the board of Trustees for Oklahoma City University, is an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City University and the Southern Methodist University Perkin’s School of Theology, and offers training programs for ministers in local churches through the South Central Jurisdiction of the UMC.

Bp. Wilson has a proud Indian heritage in his family. His grandfather, Calvin Wilson, was one of the Choctaw Code-Talkers from World War I.
