As Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) commemorates its 50th anniversary, it is a momentous occasion prompting both celebration and contemplation. Since its establishment in 1974, OKCIC has remained steadfast in its mission to provide exceptional health care services to the Native community in the greater Oklahoma City area.
In its early years, OKCIC operated as a modest clinic, serving a limited number of patients with constrained resources. Yet, propelled by unwavering dedication, the organization flourished, expanding its reach and capabilities to meet the evolving health care needs of our community. Over the decades, OKCIC has borne witness to significant advancements in medical technology, changes in health care policy, and evolving societal attitudes towards Native health.
Throughout this journey, OKCIC has maintained its status as a beacon of hope and healing for the Native community, offering a comprehensive array of medical, dental, behavioral health, and wellness services. Rooted in principles of cultural competence and patient-centered care, OKCIC ensures that every individual receives the utmost respect, compassion, and quality of care.

Each has played an integral role in shaping OKCIC into the esteemed and award-winning health care institution it is today – a medical home for all Natives, where they can foster the well-being of their families and our Native community, reflecting the strength of collective health.

Join us on July 20, 2024, as OKCIC proudly hosts a free cultural celebration in honor of 50 years of providing exceptional health care to American Indians. We invite all to join us at the First Americans Museum for a day filled with cultural crafts, dancing, art, games, and much more.
