Angela Lockhart, LPC
Therapist

I enjoy working at Oklahoma City Indian Clinic because of our indigenous patient population. I am a member of the Comanche Nation and have always wanted to utilize my education and serve Indian Country. I enjoy working here because it allows me to interact with members of many indigenous nations. I have learned so much about other tribes and cultures in my time at the clinic. Native people have the best sense of humor and I love feeling a connection with them. Being a part of the Behavioral Health team has enabled me to feel like I am making a positive impact on our indigenous people. I am passionate about helping end generational trauma and being a therapist here has helped me feel like I am a part of the solution. I think we have a great team and enjoy the camaraderie I have with my colleagues. The benefits package in regards to insurance and paid time off are excellent as well. I have appreciated our birthday leave, Christmas bonus, self-care days and special treats the Human Resources department gives throughout the year. This has made our team feel valued and appreciated.

I’ve been with the clinic for five years and I love my job because of the people I work with. My boss is one of the most amazing people I know. I love working for Oklahoma City Indian Clinic because they gave me such great benefits and a generous amount of paid time off. This is a company who listens and cares for their employees.
