Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) transformed into a prehistoric playground for its annual Children’s Health Fair, welcoming over 300 young patients over two fun-filled days. This year’s dinosaur theme brought out plenty of little T-Rexes and raptors, who received essential back-to-school health services like eye exams, wellness checks, vaccinations, and sports physicals, all aimed at helping kids start the school year healthy and ready to learn.
A Day Full of Smiles
The event was just as much about fun as it was about health. Kids enjoyed a petting zoo (no dinosaurs, unfortunately), ice cream, interactive games, and free books from the OKC Thunder Bus. The Health Promotion Disease Prevention (HPDP) team also hosted an exciting trail mix station, where kids could create their own snack to take home.
Meaningful Resources
Every child left with a backpack, water bottle, snacks, and school supplies, thanks in part to a generous donation and supplies from Delaware Nation Industries and Delaware Nation Investments. A wide variety of community partners attended, offering essential resources, information, and goodies for families.
