Mental Health Awareness Training

About: Confidently recognize and respond to Indigenous adolescents (ages 12-18) who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis. Open to the community.

This course will teach you how to apply the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan (ALGEE):

• Assess for risk of suicide or harm
• Listen nonjudgmentally
• Give reassurance and information
• Encourage appropriate professional help
• Encourage self-help and other support strategies

In-person only, online pre-work must be completed in order to attend.
