Last October, the nursing department at Oklahoma City Indian Clinic participated in its annual nursing skills fair, a valuable opportunity for staff to enhance their patient care practices. The event covered a range of topics crucial to improving health care delivery. Attendees learned about infection prevention strategies, proper PRC procedures, vaccinations information, mastering Phlebotomy and IV starts, as well information about STI testing and procedures. Additionally, sessions delved into important health screenings such as colorectal cancer and MyRisk Genetic testing, providing valuable insights and tools for the nursing team to better serve their patients.
