Well-child exams & vaccinations

Our experienced providers prioritize preventive care and early intervention, ensuring the well-being and healthy development of every young patient. During pediatric exams, this commitment extends to addressing routine check-ups, administering crucial immunizations, fostering comprehensive health and safeguarding against preventable diseases within the community.

Immunizations

A comprehensive range of immunizations are offered, ensuring that each patient receives timely and age-appropriate vaccinations to protect against preventable diseases.

Vision Screening

Pediatrics offers vision screening services with advanced Spot Vision Screening technology, ensuring efficient and precise assessments for optimal eye health and early detection of potential issues.

Hearing Screening

Comprehensive hearing screening services utilize state-of-the-art technology to ensure accurate assessments and early detection of any potential auditory issues for the well-being of our Native youth.

Our pediatric medical virtual visits offer a convenient and accessible way for parents to connect with OKCIC’s health care providers, ensuring continued care and support for their children’s well-being.

What is a Virtual Medical Visit?
  • The Virtual Visit service enables healthcare access to Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) patients who are not able to travel to their health care provider for specific non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses.
  • This service is a video appointment with a medical provider, and is available to patients with specific symptoms.
  • Any device with Internet connection and attached camera can access this service.
  • Virtual visits are available daily during business hours and most will be completed within 20 minutes.
  • All visits are HIPAA compliant.
  • No visits will be recorded.
  • If medications are needed, the provider will order medications to be picked up at OKCIC’s pharmacy or a preferred pharmacy.
Eligibility
To qualify for a Virtual Medical Visits, patients must have an active chart at OKCIC. Step-By-Step Instructions for Service
  • Patient calls the Virtual Medical Visit number during business hours at (405) 948-4900 ext. 633.
  • Patient answers eligibility and triage questions prior to appointment.
  • Qualifying patients will receive an email or text link to the MEND  app to download for an appointment. A provided pass code will be required for each scheduled visit for privacy purposes.
  • Patient chooses a time that is mutually acceptable and makes an appointment with a provider at OKCIC.
  • Patient receives a reminder text message before the appointment.*
  • Patient/provider appointment occurs via mobile device or computer for diagnosis and treatment.

Requesting health information records is a straightforward process, allowing individuals to access their medical history and ensuring comprehensive and accurate information is available for informed health care decisions. Call (405) 948-4900 ext. 251.

Health Promotion & Disease Prevention

The HPDP (Health Promotion & Disease Prevention) team are like health superheroes with dietitians, personal trainers, a grant coordinator, and a patient relations representative. We’re here to help Native youth be healthy and strong by having a blast with fitness training and fun health lessons. Join us at the wellness center, youth camps, after-school adventures, and cool fitness and education classes—it’s all about having a great time while being the healthiest superheroes around!

Native Resource & Nutrition Center

This center provides free essentials, like food, and invites patients and Native community members to consult with our social services specialists for information on local resources..

Veterans Program

This program provides information for Native American Veterans, including ones experiencing homelessness. OKCIC shares these resources in a simple format in order to serve the Native population better.

Social Services

Our dedicated social services team provides invaluable support, connecting patients and community members with essential resources such as food, clothing, and information about local programs and services.

Public Health

Our community health efforts at OKCIC revolve around enhancing well-being through education, preventive measures, and collaborative initiatives, ensuring the overall health and resilience of our community members.
