Established in 1974, Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) has been a cornerstone in providing health care services to urban American Indians in the greater Oklahoma City area. Serving over 24,000 patients, OKCIC’s dedicated team of physicians, nurses, and support staff offers comprehensive ambulatory care to individuals of all ages. Volunteers play a pivotal role in supporting these services, contributing to the well-being of the community through various programs and events.

Holiday Hope Initiatives
These programs aim to support families during the holiday season from October through Decemeber:
- Warm & Fuzzy Toy Wonderland
- Warm & Fuzzy Winter Coat Distribution
- Warm & Fuzzy ThankFULL Baskets
Annual Red Feather Gala
A major event in downtown Oklahoma City featuring dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and original Native art. Volunteers can assist in many ways, from securing auction items and sponsors to helping set up and engaging with donors during the event.
Annual Walk for Wellness
Established in 1997, this event encourages family physical activity and promotes healthy lifestyles. Volunteers help with event execution and participant support.
TURTLE Camp
Day camps held throughout the year designed to instill healthy behaviors in children. Volunteer opportunities for these events include leading groups, and supporting staff.
Behind the Scenes
Opportunities for administrative support, maintenance, construction projects, health fairs, and special events. We can find a spot for volunteers with a variety of qualifications.
Future Initiatives
OKCIC is expanding its volunteer program to better serve the Native community. There are future plans for patient greeters, navigators and other outreach support opportunities.
