We are giving free COVID-19 Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines to eligible OKCIC patients and non-Native community members. For more information and to schedule an appointment, call the Pharmacy at (405) 595-3100 option 2.
Updated (bivalent) mRNA vaccines are now authorized for ALL doses, including the primary series, additional doses or doses for certain populations. The original (monovalent) COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are no longer recommended for use.
Updated (bivalent) mRNA vaccine recommendations:
- A single updated (bivalent) vaccine dose may be used for a primary series (multiple doses are NOT needed).
- An additional updated (bivalent) vaccine dose for adults ages 65 years and older at least 4 months after the initial updated (bivalent) vaccine dose.
- An additional updated (bivalent) vaccine dose for those with weakened immune systems at least 2 months after the initial updated (bivalent) vaccine dose.
- Anyone 6 years and older who has not received an updated (bivalent) mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of whether they previously completed their (monovalent) primary series.
- Individuals 6 years and older who have already received an updated mRNA vaccine do not need to take any action unless they are 65 years or older or immunocompromised.
Vaccinations will be administered at 4913 W. Reno Ave. You will need to come inside and check-in at the Pharmacy to receive your vaccine. You will need to do the following during your vaccine appointment:
- Bring your COVID-19 vaccine card with you.
- Wearing a mask during your vaccine appointment is optional.
- There will be a recommended post-vaccination observation period of 15 minutes. If you have had a prior vaccine reaction, you will be asked to wait for 30 minutes.
- Bring your COVID-19 vaccine card with you after receiving DOSE 1.
