At Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC), caring for patients goes beyond clinic walls. That spirit was on full display in 2025 through the continued success of the Warm & Fuzzy program, an award-winning, employee-supported initiative rooted in generosity, teamwork, and community care. Powered by voluntary payroll deductions, employee donations, and volunteer hours, Warm & Fuzzy helps meet critical needs facing American Indian families. From food and clothing to school supplies, the program addresses social determinants of health that directly affect wellness. When families don’t have to worry about a warm coat, a meal, or school supplies, they can better focus on their health and stability.
Warm & Fuzzy’s Impact on Families Across the Seasons
The holiday season brought some of Warm & Fuzzy’s most visible moments of impact. Toy Wonderland provided more than 200 toys to 97 families, spreading holiday cheer, while the ThankFULL Baskets initiative helped 150 families celebrate Thanksgiving with full meal baskets. The Winter Coat Giveaway kept younger patients warm by distributing 183 coats as temperatures dropped. Beyond the holidays, more than 300 children received backpacks filled with school supplies at OKCIC’s annual Children’s Health Fair.
Thank You to OKCIC Employees
Behind every giveaway and every smile is the dedication of OKCIC employees. These efforts are made possible entirely through the compassion and commitment of staff who choose, month after month, to give through payroll deductions and individual donations. Those small, consistent acts of kindness add up in powerful ways, creating a ripple effect of support that reaches hundreds of families each year.
